The beginning
The wonderful people behind Seth ceylon are an inspiring family of homesteaders that left the so called ‘city life’ to live a simple and fulfilling life, treading the earth lightly….learning many skills to be self sustained and environmentally responsible.
Starting with soaps made from passionfruit in their garden, crafting herbal soaps was one of the many projects of their homesteading adventure. With time and practice they began to make successful batches and their friends and acquaintances were thoroughly impressed and the demand grew day by day which encouraged them to share the goodness with the world….hence the brand Seth Ceylon was born. Unlike commercially produced soaps they value the health of people as well as the planet...hence the name ‘Seth’ meaning Blessings in sinhala.

Guided by the motto think global act local they strive to use resources abundant in Sri Lanka. Using purely herbs, fruits and vegetables to color the crafts while the soaps are unscented or mildly scented with essential oils. As a result of the greener, compact, travel friendly, handcrafted solutions and treats they craft, the world now has the opportunity to enjoy the goodness of exotic ingredients.
Empowering Communities
Unlike mass produced soaps one would often discover unique differences between each product made with love and care as the soaps are made, aged, hand cut, detailed and wrapped by a group of ladies from the community which means each product supports a whole series of families empowering an entire community.
